This is how dog grooming should be.

I worked at a doggy daycare for over 11 years before I pursued a different career in grooming. Dogs are my life. Even when I was a little girl, I wanted to "be" the dog when we played house.

Then, after graduating, I worked at a busy grooming shop and realized that I was NOT cut out for what I call, "assembly line grooming." Get them in, get them done, get them out. That's just not how it should be.

So, that's when I developed the idea for Schmelly Dog. (I am a Friends fan). I realized that grooming shouldn't be a get them in, and get them out as fast as you can situation, especially to have them sit in a crate while waiting to be worked on. That's no fun for any dog.

Here, I work on your pup from start to finish, then text or call you when he/she is about done. The max amount they spend here is 3 hours and that's just for my bigger dogs.

You can rest assured that when your dog is here, they are family.
